How can you make a difference?
- Under the supervision of the Regional Chief of Supply & Procurement, you will oversee the Region’s sustainable supply chain operations and emergency response operations. You will provide guidance, oversight, and direction to country offices within ESAR on supply chain management–related issues, including support for supply and logistics emergency preparedness and response.
- The supply chain operations include planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, in-country transport and distribution, as well as monitoring of supplies, services, and construction works. You will collaborate closely with programmes in country offices to define supply interventions that meet programmatic needs and achieve results for children, and you will provide technical and advisory support to governments, national systems, and partners on supply chain management.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
- Provide Technical support to UNICEF Country Offices on management of the Supply Planning and monitoring.
- Supply Chain service delivery and emergency response
- Collaboration with Country office programme, Supply teams and implementing partners.
- Technical, advisory support to government/national systems
- Innovation, products, and markets
Minimum requirements
Education:
- Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Supply/Purchasing,Logistics, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health, Social Sciences and any other related fields.
Work Experience:
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in Supply Management/Contracting/Logistics, Administration, Procurement, Contracting, Emergency and any other related fields.
Skills:
- Analysis, Coordination, Critical Thinking, Risk Assessment, Supply Planning, Technical Support are required.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
